CMHA is looking to hire a part-time 20 hours per week Occupational Therapist for our Young Adult Assertive Comm Treatment Program. This position will be located at 29 Russell St. New Britain, CT 06051. Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this position starts at $35,250 Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary: Provides comprehensive assessment of skill levels and daily functioning of Residential and/or Community clients. Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to develop treatment plans and programming for Residential and/or Community clients. Supports Residential and/or Community clients in the attainment of skills identified as goals to enable the client to move on to less restrictive levels of care in the community. Essential Responsibilities: * Evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs through observation and assessment. * Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve patients’ functional abilities. * Provide therapy to patients recovering from injury, illness, or disability. * Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. * Document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary. * Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Requirements: * Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. * Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Connecticut. * Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation methods. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
