THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Occupational Therapists to support our Rehabilitation Unit at Port Macquarie Private Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join an allied health team working across rehabilitation day programs, outpatients, and inpatients in our rehabilitation ward. There is room to grow this role and work in all areas of the service.
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We seek highly motivated individuals passionate about customer focused care and who thrive working within a Multidisciplinary Team. You will have well developed clinical and communication skills with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum one (1) years of occupational therapy experience in a hospital setting
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised occupational therapy treatment programs
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage caseload demands
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
