Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital We are seeking Occupational Therapists for Grade 1 positions, with opportunities available on a casual or fixed-term (12-month) basis. Join our dynamic and supportive Occupational Therapy team within our Rehabilitation Unit, where you will work across a broad range of clinical areas including orthopaedics, neurological rehabilitation, pain management, and chronic disease management. Our service includes a comprehensive Parkinson’s program and access to advanced rehabilitation technology such as Tyromotion equipment, providing an excellent environment to build your clinical skills.As a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in line with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia guidelines, with strong mentorship to support your development. The Position Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients/patients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of comprehensive patient assessment (e.g. assessment of personal care, domestic and community ADLs, assessment of the home environment, cognitive and functional physical assessment as required). Provision of a comprehensive treatment intervention and appropriate progression treatment to match functional goals. Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division as appropriate. Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation You will hold a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist and will have current valid Drivers License. To succeed you will have knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice and demonstrate knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice.
