We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in our modern and spacious therapy centre at Christies Beach! The successful applicant will have access to a fully resourced therapy room, a dedicated team of therapists with a shared caseload, regular mentoring from senior therapists and high-quality professional development. Just a short walk from the beach, our clinic is fresh and inviting for staff and clients alike.
Relate Therapy Services was established to provide an inclusive and holistic service to children and their families, as well as adolescents and adults in need of specific therapy services in the areas of Speech Pathology, Counselling and Occupational Therapy. Relate Therapy believes in respect and acceptance of each individual while supporting them empathically to achieve their goals.
Context and Purpose of Position
Relate Therapy Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist for either a full time or part-time role (minimum 2 days per week). Experience working across a range of developmental, behavioural and medical conditions as well as working with children on the autism spectrum, and in the area of paediatric feeding is desirable.
The Occupational Therapist is accountable to the Directors of Relate Therapy Services, and is required to work collaboratively with other members of the Relate Therapy Services team (and community agencies as appropriate). The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of high quality, evidence based Occupational Therapy services to clients of Relate Therapy Services and their families. Intervention may be provided to clients in the Relate Therapy Services clinic, school or other related locations where appropriate. As a member of the therapy team the Occupational Therapist will encourage and support team work amongst staff promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement for optimal client service outcomes.
About the practice

Relate Therapy Services is a private practice providing the following health services for children, adolescents and adults:

  • Individual consultation and therapy in the domains of Speech Pathology, Counselling and Occupational Therapy
  • Group Therapy programs for Social Skills, Language Development & Feeding
  • Speech Pathology/Occupational Therapy (SPOT) and occasional multi-disciplinary led groups including Counselling (clinic based)
  • Mealtime management plans
  • Live music sessions with our composer and Music Director
  • Parent Education
