classification: Permanent part-time 0.6 FTE – 0.8 FTE, dependent on applicant interest and availability.
Wage Schedule J: P1 (wage range of $42.56/hr (Year 1) to $52.95/hr (Year 25), as per the Health Sciences Professionals Bargaining Association Collective Agreement

The Ridge Meadows Child Development Centre is currently seeking a permanent part time Occupational Therapist (45.0 – 60.0 hours bi-weekly) for our Early Intervention (EIP) and School-Aged Therapy (SATP) Teams. We are a community-based agency providing both early intervention and school-aged therapy services to children, youth, and families in the communities of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie First Nation. Our therapists work as part of an interdisciplinary team, following a community based, family centered model. Through our EIP and SATP teams, we provide assessment, individual and group therapy, and consultation to children and youth in our region from birth until school-exit, working collaboratively with other RMCDC-based therapists as well as various community agencies, providers, and academic settings. We provide service in a variety of environments, including family homes, preschools/daycares, schools, and the Centre itself. For more information, visit our website at www.rmcdc.com.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
  • Active (full) registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Experience working with young children with a variety of abilities and their families is an asset
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Ability to form and maintain positive working relationships with families, colleagues and community partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice and cultural safety practices an asset
