MASTER’S DEGREE IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, ACTIVE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LICENSE AND 1+ YEAR OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A rewarding opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services to support students from early childhood through grade 12. This contract position is based in Albany, OR, with caseload responsibilities primarily in the Sweet Home area. The role involves providing essential therapy interventions within a school schedule framework, promoting student development and participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students ranging from early childhood to K-12.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, with flexibility as caseloads fluctuate.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings held in Albany to coordinate and collaborate with educational and therapy staff.
  • Follow the academic calendar, observing scheduled breaks including a two-week winter break and a one-week spring break.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with educational and therapeutic goals.
  • Engage with families, educators, and related service providers to support student outcomes.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure with experience in school-based settings.
  • Knowledge of developmental therapy services across early childhood and school-age populations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a dynamic caseload effectively.
  • An understanding of school schedules and collaborative team environments.

Position Details:

  • Location: Albany, OR (primarily Sweet Home for caseload services).
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7.5-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
  • Contract End Date: Friday, June 13.
  • Work aligned with the school calendar including standard breaks.
