JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting, particularly in acute care and pediatrics. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment.
  • Previous hospital experience is preferred, particularly in acute care settings.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on enhancing quality of life through rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and cognitive abilities to determine their needs for occupational therapy services.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific patient goals and incorporate evidence-based practices.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ daily living skills, mobility, and overall quality of life.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options, progress, and strategies for continued improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and medical terminology standards.
  • Participate in case management discussions to facilitate comprehensive patient care planning.
