£32,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM
I work closely with a nurturing and therapeutic specialist SEN school in South West London, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Autism, and associated conditions.
This is more than a therapy post! It is your chance to join a pioneering, trauma-informed school that’s changing the lives of students aged 5–19, all of whom have EHCPs. You will be part of a small and friendly multi-disciplinary team, including a Speech and Language therapist, a Play Therapist, and a Music Therapist.
Why Join This School?
- No two days are the same – work closely with students who are bright, complex, funny, and full of potential.
- You will have opportunities to create and lead your own OT provision – your ideas are valued and encouraged.
- The school actively invests in therapeutic approaches and truly understands the impact of Occupational Therapy.
- You’ll be surrounded by dedicated and supportive professionals who genuinely care – no egos, no politics, just purpose.
- The leadership team is brilliant! Supportive, switched-on, and committed to your development.
- Term-time only means real work-life balance, with your holidays fully protected.
- Permanent contract and NHS Band 5 or 6 equivalent salary (but without the burnout!)
The Occupational Therapist Role - What You Will Be Doing?
- Assessing students’ needs and delivering bespoke OT programmes
- Supporting sensory processing, regulation, motor skills and functional independence
- Working shoulder-to-shoulder with teachers, SLT, families, and external professionals
- Training staff, writing reports, contributing to EHCP reviews, and shaping a whole-school therapeutic offer
What We Are Looking For?
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or experienced Band 5 ready to step up)
- Experience with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and/or developmental needs
- Passionate, empathetic, and resilient: someone who believes in second chances
- Experience in a school setting is a bonus
