OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in neurodiversity affirming care, with experience in pediatrics and a community care setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients build the skills and implement the accomdations they need to participate in their daily activities and improve their quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A valid Ontario divers license.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routines-based assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate clients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for daily living activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes in compliance with standards outlined by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in occupational therapy practices .
