Your role at St John of God Bendigo We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (Grade 1 or 2) to join our Allied Health team providing care across medical, surgical, and inpatient rehabilitation and and outpatient rehabilitation wards. You’ll work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality occupational therapy services in line with professional and organisational standards. Grade 2 therapists will demonstrate advanced clinical skills, work independently, and contribute to mentoring, education, and quality initiatives.Our areas of focus include inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgical, general medicine, and ICU. We can offer weekday and weekend shifts, with options for either casual weekend work or permanent part-time employment. There may also be opportunities to provide additional coverage during staff leave periods. Qualified recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The Position Completion of comprehensive patient assessment (e.g. assessment of personal care, domestic and community ADLs, assessment of the home environment, cognitive and functional physical assessment as required). Provision of a comprehensive treatment intervention and appropriate progression treatment to match functional goals to manage complex patients. In conjunction with the Supervisor/Manager and other Occupational Therapy caregivers, develop processes for the evaluation of both inpatient and outpatient Occupational Therapy programs. Patients/clients plans and outcomes are regularly monitored through attendance at and participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings. Completion of comprehensive patient assessment (e.g. assessment of personal care, domestic and community ADLs, assessment of the home environment, cognitive and functional physical assessment as required). Strive for high satisfaction levels of patients/clients and external agencies. Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties. This requires liaison with the administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of progress notes. To succeed you will have tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Successful applicants will have to demonstrate ability to develop evidence based, innovative clinical practices and have current Drivers Licence. We can offer you: Salary Grade 1: $70,866 to $97,980 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 12% Superannuation Salary Grade 1: $46.02 to $63.63 per hour (casual loading included), plus 12% Superannuation Salary Grade 2: $95,432 to $114,129 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 12% Superannuation Salary Grade 2: $61.98 to $74.12 per hour (casual loading included), plus 12% Superannuation Permanent full time and part time position available We offer a range of salary packaging options tailored to your employment status such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses – up to $18,550 as a permanent employee and a percentage of your earnings as a casual.
