Description

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Foothills therapy team. We currently have a 0.5 FTE position available to support students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy (OT) services to referred students within inclusive environments. This position requires the therapist to work as a multi-disciplinary team to support students who have been identified with mild to severe needs. This role requires universal, targeted and individualized supports both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, collaboration with and guidance for Educational Assistants is required.
This position provides service to all schools within the Division. The incumbent must be available to work during a typical school calendar year (late August - end of June).
This position requires a degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university and be registered or eligible for registration with ACOT (Alberta College of Occupational Therapist) or CAOT (Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists). In addition, a minimum of two (2) years experience supporting students with occupational therapy delays/disorders and collaborating with classroom teachers is preferred. Previous experience with kindergarten/Jr. kindergarten children is considered an asset.
If you are looking for a position where you can support students, families, and schools while balancing your personal life, then this position is for you.
This competition will remain open until the positions are filled.
We appreciate and consider all applications, but only those applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted
