Responsibilities Works under the direction of the Director of Therapy Services and/or the Supervisor of Therapy Services. The Occupational Therapist provides direct patient care to all those patients referred for OT at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital and The Villages Regional Hospital. The Occupational Therapist participates in all team conferences, staff meetings and any other appropriate meetings deemed necessary by the specific unit. The Occupational Therapist is able to interact on a professional basis with all Therapy Team members and is able to understand and react effectively to the unique needs of patients in reference to specific age groups. The Occupational Therapist demonstrates competency to evaluate, plan, and initiate care for patients in accordance with discipline specific therapy standards as defined by the Florida Department of Health, Board of OT. The therapist provides instruction and assistance to all Therapy Team members and acts in compliance with the ethical conduct of the organization at all times. Qualifications EDUCATION, LICENSURE, SPECIAL SKILLS: Education - Bachelor's Required, Master's or Doctorate Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration - Current License to Practice in the State of Florida - BLS Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
