(subject to review and approval) About the Role: The Acute Occupational Therapy Paediatrics team have multiple exciting opportunities for dynamic, flexible, and skilled Occupational Therapists to join our team. Positions available are within the Acute Inpatient/outpatient paediatrics Occupational Therapy team based within the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children as well as the community based Enhanced Child Health Service (also on the Canberra Hospital campus). You will work alongside various multidisciplinary teams to provide best practice care to our consumers. You are supported to further build on skills via, Professional Development opportunities, support from specialist trained staff (hand therapy and burns management) and external mentors. We are inviting suitably qualified Occupational Therapists with more than three years of experience to apply. Those with prior experience in the delivery of acute and outpatients health services to adults and children, young people and families are highly recommended to apply. We support qualified Occupational Therapists of all levels embarking on a career move into hospital Occupational Therapy by providing skill development support from our team leaders, Workforce Clinical Educator, supervision and access to funded professional development opportunities. As the Canberra Hospital continues to expand, so does our Occupational Therapy Department. This growth has opened up leadership and higher duties opportunities with mentoring support. A merit pool may be created from this recruitment process and remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill both permanent and temporary positions across CHS.
