Overview 8a-4:30p, M-F, with weekend rotation Fort Dodge, IA Occupational therapy assistants work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist and help people of all ages to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. Responsibilities Provides occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist across outpatient, acute, skilled nursing, and home health settings Assists in developing and implementing treatment plans for assigned patients Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record Supports departmental efficiency by contributing to cost control and productivity efforts Builds positive relationships with patients, families, and the healthcare team Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all members of the care team Qualifications Education: Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Experience: Entry level/new graduate acceptable Licenses/Certifications: Occupational Therapy licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in Iowa. Maintain Basic Life certification Refer to Stroke Service Policy for annual stroke education requirements.
