Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:

  • Preparing course plans and materials
  • Delivering courses
  • Monitoring progress/attendance
  • Advising students
  • Recording grades and submitting reports

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Currently licensed or otherwise regulated in the state or jurisdiction as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant in the United States jurisdiction.
  • Full Time Faculty are responsible for leading lecture and lab components of courses within the Associate of Science in Occupational Therapist Assistant Program. Candidates must be licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the State of Florida with a minimum of 2 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree. Applicants are asked to submit their OTA license and transcripts with their application.
  • Must have a license in the state where the program is located if required by the state’s jurisdiction or must be otherwise regulated in the jurisdiction as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
  • Faculty who are not occupational therapy practitioners and teaching in the occupational therapy assistant program must be licensed or otherwise regulated as required by their profession.
  • Documented current expertise in their assigned area(s) of teaching responsibility and student advisement, including knowledge of resources for student well-being.
