We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team.
Coastal Lodge is a 36 bedded unit, which provides short term rehabilitation and reablement care and support on their journey back home.

We provide high quality care and support to older people; people with physical and learning disabilities; people with mental health needs; dementia; carers and clients’ families. This extends to respite care for families and carers.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking assessments of people’s needs in accordance with policies and procedures and in conjunction with individuals, their families, carers and other professionals.
  • Preparing care plans for agreement by the Occupational Therapist and ensuring implementation.
  • Reviewing assessments and care plans and agreeing changes with the Occupational Therapist.
  • Undertaking practical tasks relating to the support of service users.
  • Providing suitable equipment to enable people to be independent in daily living activities and instruct and train carers and service users in the correct use of equipment.
  • Travel will be required to provide therapy or advice to a variety of services and settings.
