Description

Objective: To provide care giving services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with household and family support services. Reports To: Scheduling Coordinator Primary Responsibilities: * Companionship & conversation * Light Housekeeping * Household management * Errands * Apparel selection (laying out clothes) * Meal planning & preparation * Laundry & linen changing * Medication reminders * Transportation using client’s or your own vehicle * In sleep-over or live in situations: prepare client sleeping area at night * Document activities in the Daily Documentation Log (if applicable). * Record daily hours worked and daily services performed on the Weekly Time Sheet, review with client and submit the signed form every Monday by 1:00 p.m. * Report any significant client changes to the office immediately. * Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual. Qualifications: * Education: High School graduate * Must be 18 years of age or over * Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect * Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level * Ability to drive vehicle to get to work * Valid driver’s license with no serious driving violations; current care insurance. * Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations and locations Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds * Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb steps * Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions * Ability to adapt to various environments and locations * Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
