Description Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3300 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Ocean Export Supervisor in our Jersey City Office This position offers an exceptional opportunity to participate in the continued growth and expansion of a well-respected organization. What You’ll Do: Monitors the team’s performance and identifies transactions and tasks that require special handling or expediting. Trains and advises the members of team in areas of export regulations billing systems and accounting procedures. Works with clients to establish detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent their export processes. Receives, reviews and processes high volume, and/or complex export transactions for assigned base of accounts. Provides guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to a group of other individuals for the purpose of achieving a key result or group of aligned results. Performs timely billing (invoice release) & accountability for profit on assigned shipments Prepares, maintains and distributes customer reports and other reports as needed by management. Provides high level of customer service through pro-active communication with clients via email and phone concerning status of their shipments. Completes daily reporting of operational/quality requirements. Receives, reviews, and processes all department quotes. Performs timely and accurately closing/billing of all shipments. Prepares reports required by customers and management. Alerts clients of special areas of concern or potential problems in their export process.
