The OCI Quality Inspector/ Manufacturing Operative role is essential in protecting food safety and product quality across the site. Ready to get started? Apply now and take the next step in your career! Responsibilities Shift Pattern: We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7-7 days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically you would be working as follows: Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday What you get from us: Annual salary: £24,925 - £27,512 depending on experience Shift allowance of £1,056 per annum for working both days and nights £3,000 invested in your training from day one Employer matched pension up to 5% Health cash plan Flexible benefits including: Corporate gym discounts, long service awards, enhanced maternity & paternity policy and many more Access to online GP & life assurance Free English Lessons Responsibilities: Operate and complete verification and health checks on the optical sorter Monitor the sorting line to identify and remove foreign bodies Ensure accurate labelling, recording, and documentation in line with SOPs and customer standards Liaise with Quality and Production teams to record, investigate, and escalate foreign body findings Maintain food safety, quality, legality, and health & safety compliance at all times Report non-conformances, out-of-spec products, and equipment issues promptly Support Intake Quality activities and complete other quality inspections as required Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the Line Manager Requirements Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (desirable) Familiarity with optical sorting or similar machinery (desirable) Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting High attention to detail with a strong focus on food safety and hygiene Able to follow strict safety procedures and work in a chilled environment Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Flexible, organised, and able to multitask under pressure Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills Qualifications Our Company Natures Way Foods is the leading manufacturer of prepared salads, coleslaw and “food-to-go” for supermarkets and retailers, and as such we work closely with farmers across Europe. Responsibilities
