Broadway St., Akron, OH 44308 Dayton Delivery Center - 6680 Poe Ave, Dayton, OH 45414 The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) administers several federal workforce programs and oversees a network of local OhioMeansJobs centers, which provide free job training and other services for Ohioans looking for work and employers seeking workers. OWD also assists job seekers through OhioMeansJobs.com, an online job matching system that brings both employers and job seekers to one easy-to-use website. Learn more about the office by visiting the ODJFS OWD webpage. This position will manage all aspects of the Office of Workforce Development (OWD) Production Support Team. You will work with a team to assist the Office of Workforce Development systems—OhioMeansJobs.com, Advancement through Resources, Information, and Employment Services (ARIES), WIET, and CFIS users. The users include the public, local area, and State staff. What You’ll Do Manage frontline supervisors who are responsible for the daily operations of OWD Systems Helpdesks Tier 1—OhioMeansJobs.com (OMJ) Helpdesk which provides support to citizens, workforce professionals, and employers who are utilizing all OMJ system. Tier 2—Management of the Advancement through Resources, Information, and Employment Services (ARIES) Helpdesk which provides support to system users at the State and Local Level Management of access provision for all OWD systems Work with OWD Systems & Project Support Teams to report, track and resolve system issues. Work with OWD Systems Team for seamless testing and implementation of enhancements Create and provide reports on a variety of metrics to senior management and stakeholder groups. Necessary Skills: Experience with management of customer service Experience with management of customer service tools and practices Excellent communication skills Experiencing in producing reports and metrics for leadership Knowledge of state and federal policies regarding workforce programs Schedule: The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 8-5. Flex schedule may be available. Travel: Occasional travel may include overnight stays both in and out of state. PN(s): 20099343 The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following: OPTION 1: 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in delivery of employment & training related government programs, community or private industry human resource programs and 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques. Option 2: Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, social science, or human resource management and 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques and 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in managerial principles/techniques. Option 3: Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Pay Information This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 15. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $43.09 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
