He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role Are you looking for casual/flexible work that will fit in with your lifestyle? This is a fabulous opportunity to work with a great team of people! This is a ‘casual’ role. Working in a team of 4-6 people, our odour panellists are required to be on-site at an agreed time when an odour panel is being conducted. As part of a dedicated team that provides specialised air quality monitoring the main function of the role is to undertake odour analysis on both air and water samples. You will be working in an IANZ-accredited sensory evaluation laboratory. Odour panellists are trained and calibrated ‘noses’ who ‘sniff’ water and air samples, for example, air from a biofilter, and then score and record the types of smells they encounter. The wider air quality team then uses these results to create reports that are delivered to Watercare’s customers.
