We are seeking experienced security professionals to join our Campus Security team in Courtenay, BC!

• Conduct regular foot patrols of the campus premises to monitor for any suspicious activity, unauthorized individuals, or safety hazards.
• Enforce campus security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty members, campus staff, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, and take appropriate action to address the situation and support emergency services when required.
• Control access to campus buildings and facilities by monitoring entrances, checking identification, and verifying credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Aid with investigating security incidents, accidents, or violations of campus rules and regulations, and document findings in incident reports.
• Assist with crowd control during events, gatherings, or emergencies to maintain order and ensure the safety of attendees.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security threats or breaches promptly.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and campus officials to coordinate responses to security incidents and emergencies.
• Provide assistance and information to students, faculty members, campus staff and visitors, and serve as a point of contact for inquiries or concerns related to campus security.
• Ensure detailed incident reports are submitted promptly, contributing to accurate and timely records of security incidents, patrols, and activities, and prepare reports for campus administration or law enforcement as required.
