Overview:
We are seeking an experienced OFA 3 (Occupational First Aid Level 3) to join our team. As an OFA 3, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical assistance and emergency care to injured or ill individuals in the workplace. This is a critical role that requires strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Duties:
- Provide immediate medical assistance and emergency care to injured or ill individuals in the workplace
- Assess and stabilize patients’ conditions, including performing CPR and administering first aid treatments
- Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing medical care until professional medical help arrives
- Document all incidents, treatments provided, and patient information accurately and thoroughly
- Maintain first aid supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in proper working condition
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards in the workplace
- Train employees on basic first aid procedures and promote a culture of safety awareness
Requirements:
- Valid OFA 3 certification is mandatory
- Proven experience as an OFA 3 in a similar work environment
- In-depth knowledge of first aid procedures, emergency response protocols, and occupational health and safety regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting incidents and patient information
