Start YOUR career with DHL today… The OFAC Agent is responsible for obtaining required clearance and screening of OFAC origin/destination shipments. The position will also ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products. The position may also need to contact customs officials to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays. The OFAC Agent will be dealing directly with individuals via phone, email, fax, and internal networks to gain required information and enter data/information into DHL systems for entry processing and tracking purposes. Key Responsibilities: Participates in processing inbound/outbound freight for clearance through US Customs. Effectively processes shipments to gain clearance information while staying compliant with all government agency rules and regulations. Responsible for screening and entering data for all OFAC shipments. Provides information to, and communicates with, DHL Origin and destination stations on the status of the shipments being delayed. Examines invoices, contents and shipping documents to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Communicates with the ITAC team to ensure compliance. Skills & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED required Must be able to qualify for an airport security badge and/or Customs clearance for DHL facility and pass a drug screen Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Knowledge of ACA, IMPEX, SCL and DPA screening Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop and climb stairs/ladders Ability to work in all weather conditions Speak, read, and understand English DHL is an equal opportunity employer.
