JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing administrative tasks, providing excellent customer service, and supporting various office functions. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Based in our Acomb nursery, working alongside our Office Manager and finance team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous office experience or administrative experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong typing skills and familiarity with clerical duties such as filing and data entry.
  • Time management skills are critical for prioritising tasks effectively in a busy office environment.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of personal data for both employees and nursery families is vital.
  • Willingness to adapt and assist in various areas of the business when required

Responsibilities
  • Responding to enquiries via phone or email
  • Completing administrative tasks as requested by the management team.
  • Maintaining records and entering data accurately.
  • Overseeing office inventory and supplies.
  • Operating and performing basic troubleshooting on office equipment, such as printers and laptops.
  • Manage our parent journey, from initial enquiry to last day.
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently using various software applications.
  • Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings for staff members.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency.
