Description

Key Responsibilities


- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Sydney office


- Manage, support and coordinate administration staff


- Allocate work and monitor staff workloads and deadlines


- Ensure administration tasks are followed through to completion


- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable


- Process and reconcile supplier and subcontractor invoices


- Assist with payroll, timesheets and employee administration


- Follow up outstanding invoices, documentation and paperwork


- Assist with employee onboarding and employment records


- Liaise with employees, subcontractors, suppliers and site management


- Manage correspondence, emails and general office enquiries


- Maintain accurate company records and filing systems


- Prepare reports and information for senior management


- Review office processes and identify areas for improvement


- Ensure deadlines and company procedures are being followed


- Provide general business and administrative support to management


What We Are Looking For


You will be someone who is highly organised, confident and comfortable taking responsibility.


To be successful, you should have:


- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Administration Manager, Senior Administrator or similar


- Strong general accounts experience


- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivableExperience supervising or managing administration staff


- Strong organisational and time-management skills


- Excellent attention to detail


- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and deadlines


- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills


- Confidence managing people and following up outstanding work


- Ability to work independently without constant supervision


- Strong communication skills


- Professional and confident manner


- Excellent Microsoft Office skills


- Experience with accounting, payroll or job-management software such as MYOB


- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information


- A hands-on attitude and willingness to assist wherever required


Previous construction industry experience would be highly regarded.
