OVERVIEW

We are seeking an IT literate, well organised and detail orientated part-time, Office Administrative Assistant to join our small head office team on Monday to Thursday each week for c. 16 hours per week. Ideally the candidate will be local to Mere Green (B74) to minimise the commute time. The right candidate will carry out a key role in assisting the smooth operations of our group of 5 adult and 4 children’s residential care homes with responsibility for a number of day-to-day office administration, expense management, HR and Health and Safety tasks, including a role in ensuring GDPR compliance for the businesses. The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing is critical as there will be a significant amount of remote liaison, as all our homes are geographically dispersed across the UK. The candidate must be able to work both on their own initiative and as an integral part of a small team, able to be proactive and prioritise to ensure all varied tasks assigned are completed as they fall due.

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years minimum hands-on experience in a similar administrative role for small to medium sized businesses or organisation.
  • Prior GDPR experience or willing to undertake GDPR training to Data Protection Officer Level.
  • Excellent clerical skills and focus with attention to detail for accurate data entry and cross referencing.
  • Able to work to agreed plans whilst remaining flexible to change and prioritise accordingly, with good time management.
  • A professional, positive and pleasant attitude and strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with our team, staff and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five GCSE or equivalent at grade “C” or above, to include English Language and Maths at grade “C” / Level 5 minimum.
  • Good level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & also Google Sheets.
