Description

The role

ALS Geochemistry is seeking an experienced Office Administrator to support the operations of our fast-paced minerals preparation and analytical laboratory at our Malaga facility, while also providing support to two additional sites: Wangara and the Malaga Sample Preparation sites.

This is a full-time position, with the primary focus being the provision of administrative support using the Microsoft Office suite and the company’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm., with some flexibility regarding start times.

Free on-site parking is available.

 

Key responsibilities

The Office Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all company monthly compliance requirements are met on or before their due dates.
  • Adhering to the requirements of all standard ALS brands.
  • Assisting with the completion of monthly reports for senior management.
  • Answering incoming calls as required and direct as needed
  • Performing any other duties requested by the senior management team.
  • Assisting with client monthly storage invoicing
  • Working closely with procurement and purchasing team to maintain stock for lab consumables
  • Ensuring government compliance with state regulatory requirements
  • Staff communications and notices
  • Organise staff events and team lunches
  • Supplier invoicing
  • Source quotations from suppliers
  • Work closely with all levels of stakeholders within the business to support operational requirements
  • Any other duties as required by senior management

 

 The essentials

  • A responsible and flexible attitude towards daily tasks, with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment, with the initiative to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good alphanumeric skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a proven ability to collect, interpret and manage data efficiently and accurately.
  • Proven ability to retain and apply large amounts of information.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks
  • Customer service experience, or a strong customer service focus.
  • Well-presented, with a friendly and professional manner as you will be front-facing of our established.
  • Experience with Pronto is highly regarded.
