Description

West Coast Pre Fab Ltd. is seeking another highly motivated individual to join our team as an Office Administrator & Reception.
This multi-role position requires a firm understanding for attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. This full-time permanent position will include working at our Head Office in Chemainus. The ability to work in a dynamic role and adapt to a changing environment is an asset.

SKILLS:

  • Experience in reception rolls, parts clerk, or customer service would be advantageous.
  • Organization skills are critical as a lot of work is independent. There are many record keeping tasks that are not overseen until they become critical and urgent. Self-prioritizing and keeping those tasks documented is important.
  • Above average computer skills required. Strong confidence in Excel is required but only in its basic functions (making lists, moving data, sum of numbers).
  • Experience in industry/construction is an asset.
  • Certifications and programs in business or administrative skills (like ABT from VIU) is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Typical duties include general reception work including multi line phones and directing walk in customers.
  • Supporting our safety department with record keeping, filing and data entry.
  • Conducting orientations and classes for our new employees (with previous training of course).
  • Working with safety technicians on documenting SOPs and safety meeting minutes.
  • Supporting technical staff with paperwork, data entry, scanning, form creation etc.
  • Purchasing and monitoring office supplies.
  • Cleaning kitchen area frequently and dishes occasionally.
  • Tidying the office.
  • Assisting sales staff filing, printing, and ordering brochures and promotional items.
  • Keeping the office functioning with coffee and coffee supplies.
