Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, results oriented, and highly adaptable Office Administrator who will support the administrative function at OKFD Balzac, AB. As part of a close-knit team, you will manage day-to-day office duties to ensure OKFD’s values and growth objectives are supported over the coming years. Key Responsibilities:
Office Administration:
- Manage the day-to-day tasks of the office, ensuring efficient workflows and the smooth operation – including interfacing the OKFD’s ERP systems, shipping and receiving, managing tracking and trending of various metrics and more.
- Handle incoming communications (email, phone calls) and direct them to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain and update office records, filing systems, and documentation to ensure compliance and organization.
- Coordinate office supplies, facilities maintenance, and ensure all administrative needs are met.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, events, and company-wide initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other administrative documents as needed for management.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process
- Compliance & Training: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal and provincial labor laws and regulations. As required from time to time, assist with coordinating training and development initiatives to support employee growth.
- Performance Management: Help administer the performance review process and track employee development, supporting a culture of feedback and growth.
- Employee Improvement, Labor Law, and More: Support Operational Leadership to ensure that requirements of labor laws and acts are followed and adhered to across both Federal and Provincial requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in office administration roles, ideally in a manufacturing or similar fast-paced, growing business.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to a variety of challenges in a growing company.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential and experience in the food manufacturing industry would be considered an asset.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Self-Starter: A proactive, hands-on individual who is comfortable working in a small team environment, and thrives in a flexible, evolving company culture.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving efficiencies and supporting employee satisfaction.
