Description

Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton is seeking a full-time Office Administrator for our dynamic and growing organization. We provide family centered in-home and classroom based services to meet the needs of families and children who have autism and other developmental disorders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 + years experience in an administrative position
  • Certificate or degree in Administration or related experience
  • Knowledge in Boardmaker a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative programs
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Record Check required

Responsibilities
  • Engage with all incoming and outgoing people accessing the building while maintaining a mature, professional demeanor.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with fellow staff and clients.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and preparation of materials.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Receive and forward to appropriate department potential client referrals by email, phone call, or in-person.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, including letters, emails, and memos.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation and visual materials.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of newsletters, reports, and promotional materials.
  • Provide oversight and maintenance to the “Lending” area of supplies and toys. This will include receiving, sanitizing, cataloging and organization of all items stored in facility storage.
  • Oversight of all Visual requests for creation of needed supportive materials for the Children’s Autism Services team.
  • Assist with donor management and stewardship, including processing donations and acknowledgments.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, including sanitizing commonly touched surfaces and returned toys.
  • Provide support for special events and initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Support day to day operations as required
  • When possible, attend Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton events as an ambassador and champion for our services.
