Location: Clent Nurseries Garden Centre – on site
Hours: Part-time (Mornings Preferred – Hours to Be Discussed for the Right Candidate)
Salary: Negotiable for the right applicant and experience
Start Time: Immediate

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll
  • Experience with Nest pension scheme
  • Strong understanding of VAT and year-end accounting processes
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Office & Accounts Administrator to join our small but busy office. This is a varied role ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and payroll, who is also comfortable overseeing daily office operations and handling sensitive data with professionalism and discretion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain Sage Accounts, including all aspects of purchase, nominal, and sales ledger
  • Process and manage Sage Payroll, including year-end procedures
  • Handle auto-enrolment pension submissions via Nest
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Complete year-end processes for both accounts and payroll
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere strictly to GDPR and data protection regulations in all aspects of financial and employee record handling
