Are you organized, dependable, and ready to take initiative? The Director of Crown Operations - East Region ‘s Office is looking for an Office Administrator to help keep things running smoothly. In this important role, you’ll support a small, dedicated team of legal and business professionals. You’ll handle sensitive and highly confidential information, manage office tasks, and help make sure the office operates efficiently. If you have experience in a court or legal setting and want to grow your career in a meaningful way, this could be the right fit for you.
Note: Candidates will be required to work from the office for a minimum of 3 days per week or more as operationally required.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • You must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

  • you have established legal administration and administrative experience including a thorough knowledge of office procedures
  • you have knowledge of substantive criminal law, court procedures, policies and practices related to the administration of criminal justice and are able to understand legislation and legal terminology

INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • you have effective leadership ability to oversee program administration, and the ability to work independently
  • you have excellent oral and written communication skills to manage correspondence
  • you have good judgement, excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
  • you can prepare various reports and respond to inquiries from multiple stakeholders.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • you have excellent knowledge and ability to use personal computer equipment with standard software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and customized database applications including Word and Excel

ORGANIZATIONAL, ADMINISTRATIVE AND TIME-MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

  • you have strong organizational and planning skills to effectively support screening, disclosure, pre-trials, diversion and other case management practices, and meeting statutory and administrative deadlines.
  • you have demonstrated administrative and time management skills to function in a high volume, fast-paced office.
  • you can act on behalf of the Director and legal counsels.
