FlexStaff is seeking an Office Administrator with experience in Healthcare Insurance Authorization and Medical Billing for our Client, a Prosthetics and Orthotics Lab. Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. This is Temp-to-Hire role. In this role you will be responsible for providing clerical support, answering phone calls and obtain accurate insurance information, verification, and pre-authorization The ideal candidate would have at least 3 (three) years of healthcare billing/collections experience. 1. Front Desk Management: o Greet and welcome patients as they arrive. o Check in patients and schedule appointments. 2. Appointment Scheduling: o Manage and coordinate appointment scheduling for multiple healthcare providers. o Reschedule or cancel appointments as necessary. 3. Patient Registration: o Collect patient information, insurance details, and relevant medical history. o Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. 4. Telephone Communication: o Answer phone calls promptly and professionally. o Respond to inquiries from patients, family members, and other healthcare staff. o Relay messages to appropriate staff and follow up on patient calls. 5. Record Keeping: o Maintain and update patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems or paper files. o Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. 6. Billing and Insurance: o Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits. o Collect co-pays and payments from patients. o Assist patients with billing questions or concerns. 7. Medical Correspondence: o Prepare and send out correspondence, such as appointment reminders and follow-up letters. o Ensure the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing medical records and correspondence. 8. Office Management: o Maintain a clean and organized reception area. o Order and manage office supplies as needed. o Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth office operations. 9. Support Healthcare Providers: o Assist medical professionals with administrative tasks as needed. o Prepare charts for daily appointments and ensure all necessary documents are available. 10. Customer Service: o Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families. o Address patient concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
