Melcourt Industries Ltd are the leading supplier of peat-free garden and landscape products and have been trading for over 40 years. As the original ‘Peat-Free Pioneers’ we are dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Office Administrator to join our friendly team based in Long Newnton. This is a varied role where no two days are the same —perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of customer service, sales support, logistics, and general office duties.
Due to the nature of the tasks below – this is an office based position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a varied administration role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Maths & English GCSE minimum Grade C / 5
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage schedules effectively while prioritising tasks
  • A strong team player

Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales:

  • Greet visitors and manage the front desk.
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to pricing and product enquiries.
  • Process sales orders and provide general support to the sales team.
  • Send sample material to customers.

Transport & Logistics:

  • Support the Transport department in busy periods and provide holiday cover.
  • Book loads with Hauliers for delivery to customers.
  • Book customer collections and deliveries with customers.

Inventory & Goods In:

  • Oversee goods receiving procedures.
  • Arrange the dispatch and collection of advertising materials.
  • Monitor advertising material stock levels and liaise with suppliers.

Marketing & General Office Admin Support:

  • Mail out brochures and price lists.
  • Ad-hoc Marketing mailings via Mailchimp
  • Manage customer queries related to the ‘Where to Buy’ section of the website.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies
  • Perform general admin tasks as needed
