We are currently seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Member Services Officer to join our Member Services team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an Admin officer, you will be the first point of contact for our members by phone, email and in branch . You’ll play a key role in providing excellent customer service while accurately handling financial transactions and member queries. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience.

Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing them to the appropriate team members or departments, taking accurate messages with timely follow-up when needed and provide basic information about credit union services, hours, and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage the general information inbox daily, responding to routine inquiries promptly and professionally, forwarding specific queries to relevant departments or escalating issues when necessary, and maintaining accurate email records with proper data logging
  • Maintain accurate member records and update databases as needed, assist with filing, scanning, and document handling, support internal communications and scheduling (e.g. booking rooms and meetings), and help prepare reports, letters, or forms under supervision.
  • Handle all member data with strict confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and credit union policies, ensuring that administrative procedures comply with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Provide counter cover when needed by greeting and assisting members at the front desk, processing basic transactions (e.g. lodgements, withdrawals, balance checks), offering information on credit union products and services, and ensuring a high standard of customer service and confidentiality.
  • Onboarding new members and assisting in opening of current account’s
  • Promote and cross-sell Connect Credit Union products and services, such as current accounts, loans, savings accounts, and online banking tools both in branch and at events.
  • Support other team members and departments as needed including but not limited to helping at events
  • Manage office supply inventory, place timely orders, and maintain effective communication with third-party suppliers to ensure uninterrupted office operations.
