Position: Home Care Support Worker
Type: CAS
Location: Wollongong and surrounding suburbs.
About You:
- Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Support or similar.
- A minimum of 12 months’ experience in home care (aged care or in-home support)
- Please note: Disability support experience alone does not meet the requirements for this role.
- Flexibility and availability to work anywhere in between Monday – Friday. Choose your hours.
- Valid Drivers Licence and willingness to travel up to 30 mins to services. Own Car mandatory.
- Current First Aid, CPR and Police Check.
- A genuine love for older people and a commitment to their well-being.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for engaging in friendly conversations.
- Confidence to work independently.
- A caring and compassionate nature with the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our elderly clients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Domestic Assistance: Provide light housekeeping duties including cleaning, meal preparation, ironing and laundry.
- Personal Care: Provide personal care including assistance with dressing, grooming, showering, bathing, toileting, nutrition and eating.
- Transport and Mobility: Facilitate community access, recreational, shopping, errands, attending appointments and leisure options by transporting by vehicle.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to our elderly clients.
- Engage in friendly conversations and meaningful interactions.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of our clients.
- Report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.
