Great Plains Media is seeking a highly organized and creative Office Assistant and Web Designer to join our dynamic and fun team. If you have a passion for media, a knack for building relationships, and a proven experience in Web/Graphic Design! This role offers the exciting opportunity to build experience in local media and your web design portfolio.
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable Office Assistant and Web Designer to provide high-level administrative support to our executive team while simultaneously overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our company website. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of administrative and technical skills, with a creative flair for web design and a commitment to providing exceptional support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.).
  • Proficiency in web design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually appealing and functional web and print designs.
  • Preferred experience as an Assistant or in a similar administrative support role.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Office Assistant and Web Designer, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager and full-time staff with projects, re-vamping the official webpage for the stations, and designing fliers and promotional material for the stations. We are looking for somebody who can work 10 am - 2 pm Monday-Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager and sales team, including calendar management and meeting scheduling.
  • Design and maintain the company’s website, ensuring a user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional online presence.
  • Participate in promotions, including designing digital and print content for our clients.
  • Assist with daily office operations, such as correspondence, and assisting clients and listeners who visit the stations.
  • Optimize website performance and ensure it is fully responsive across devices.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve site visibility and user engagement.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks and projects to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
