Description Bowman & Company, LLP, is a Public Accounting Firm in Stockton, Ca and we are currently looking for a qualified Office Assistant with errand duties to meet the needs of our expanding practice. We serve family-owned businesses, real-estate owners, high net worth individuals, farmers and wineries, construction contractors, affordable housing projects, and non-profit organizations. Office Assistant with Errand Duties are responsible for the following essential job functions: Running errands (partners, staff, clients) Transport deposits to banks Transport boxes and files to off-site storage Pick-up breakfast, lunch and dinner as needed for the firm Order kitchen supplies online Stock supplies (paper and kitchen) Clean out refrigerator every Friday Process outgoing mail and deliver to post office daily Water plants Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail Scanning and linking documents to computer system Staff moves Deliver bank deposits as needed. Responsible for copier and printer maintenance scheduling Handles administrative digital processing, copying, and binding of financial statements. Types various correspondence, copies, assembles, and mails, prepares priority mail, UPS, and FedEx. Assists the Director of Human Resources and Operations and Firm Controller with projects. Special projects as assigned Other duties as requested. Requirements Basic computer skills Ability to multi-task Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record Reliable transportation Comfortable with routinely shifting demands High degree of attention to detail Data entry experience Working knowledge of general office equipment Previous Accounting, Financial, Legal, or Medical Office Experience (preferred) Working toward Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree qualification (preferred) Developing technical knowledge Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach Ability to lift 25 pounds Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interface with all levels of firm management and staff, clients, and outside business contacts. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Integrity and honesty, motivated and dedicated, detail-oriented, team-oriented, strong work ethic, positive attitude, polite, and approachable.
Responsibilities
The Office Assistant is responsible for running errands, transporting deposits, and managing office supplies. Additional duties include processing mail, scanning documents, and assisting with various projects.
