Lin Centre for the Study of Freedom and Global Orders in the Ancient and Modern Worlds Position Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of high complexity and the incumbent performs them using general instruction. Assist in planning and coordinating research-related events, including scheduling, logistics, and communications. Design and distribute promotional materials (e.g., posters, digital flyers) to advertise academic talks and conferences. Support the organization of research visits, including booking travel and accommodations for invited scholars, in particular during the fall and winter terms. Manage event logistics, such as setting up rooms, arranging audio-visual equipment, and ensuring a professional environment for academic discussions. Act as a liaison between event organizers, speakers, and the administrative team to ensure smooth event execution. Provide technical and promotional support during events, ensuring that research presentations and discussions proceed without disruption. Assist in maintaining records of events, including attendance tracking, research outputs, and postevent documentation.
