The Opportunity: The Office Assistant is responsible for opening and closing the office each day, providing administrative and clerical support to both staff and community members, and helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities. This role also includes assisting other departments with program-related tasks as needed.

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors
  • Direct in-person visitors to the appropriate staff member, office, or building location
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Liaise with other staff members to prepare meeting agendas and support documentation; send notices of attendance to committee members, staff and agency representatives

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Certificate in Business Administration is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years office experience
  • First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified is preferred
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
