Description:

Our client at community center located east of Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill), is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work within their Early Childhood Division for a contract opportunity (NOW TILL AUGUST). The chosen candidate should possess strong verbal and communication skills and also have experience using personal computers (hardware and software). The chosen individual should also be flexible with scheduling and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, if ever required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with the onboarding of new and rehired seasonal staff for multiple camp locations.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Frequently he/she is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities:

Schedules onboarding with new and rehired employees.
Enters information into various websites to obtain clearances.
Enters and maintains employee data in client shared files and CampMinder.
Enters and tracks employee information into Excel or Googledocs spreadsheets.
Works closely with the HR Department preparing and filing seasonal camp folders.
Travels with the HR Department to summer camp locations for onboarding new and rehired camp staff as needed.
Supports the HR department with ongoing projects as needed.
Ability to define problems, develop solutions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to manage and balance a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment under tight time constraints.
Generates necessary reports and documentation as needed and/or required.
