We have over 350 employees with 15 locations across Western New York and Pennsylvania. For over 50 years, we have proudly served residential customers as well as contractors and municipalities across a variety of industries. Position Overview: Our Syracuse branch is seeking to hire an Office & Cash Administrator with 1 year of cashier, administrative or reception experience. Responsibilities: Greet customers in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. Process all cash and credit card transitions for the retail supply counter. Balance the cash drawer and prepare daily cash reports. Process reconciliations, as required by Accounting. Batch and process daily cash orders, shipping, and counter sales. Research orders with missing information required to process. Assist receptionist with indexing daily orders and other accounting paperwork, as needed. Provide daily back-up assistance to reception by handling inbound calls and dispatch. Act as primary dispatcher for reception, handling main line inbound calls, from 7 AM – 8 AM daily. Perform miscellaneous administrative and accounting related duties, as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: At least 1 year of cashier, administrative, or reception experience required. Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time, without stress. Strong organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented and able to perform job functions with high accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be reliable and punctual to all shifts. Retail and bookkeeping experience is a plus, but not required. Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location. Work Environment/Physical Demands: This job operates in a retail office setting. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While a largely sedentary role, some lifting or carrying of items up to 25 pounds may occasionally be required.
Responsibilities
The Office & Cash Administrator will greet customers, process cash and credit transactions, and balance the cash drawer. Additional responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks and providing backup support to reception.
