Position: Office Coordinator (part-time)
About Us: The Grande Prairie Junior A Storm is a dynamic hockey organization committed to excellence on and off the ice. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our players, staff, and community.
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Office Coordinator to join our team. This part-time position offers flexible hours and a hybrid work environment, allowing you to split your time between working from home and our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll management.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in event planning and support is a plus.
  • Familiarity with hockey or sports organizations is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Manage financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices to clients and sponsors.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee AP/AR processes, ensuring timely payments, collections, and reconciling.
  • Payroll: Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle light administrative tasks such as managing email and postal mail, making deposits, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Event Support: Assist with the planning and execution of events, including coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Game Day Support: Provide support during game days, which may include logistical coordination and assistance to ensure smooth operations.
