Description

The Office Coordinator position reports to the parish office in Walpole for 20 hours per week

  • Reception: Receive visitors, answer phone, door notices.
  • Parish Communications: Correspondence of individual and bulk mailing, sacramental record keeping, maintaining parish calendar, etc.
  • Scheduling of funerals, intentions, baptisms, events, hall rentals, etc.
  • Incoming mail processing and distribution
  • Data entry of databases (parish, envelope listing, financial, volunteers)
  • Organize credit card receipts.
  • Order supplies (parish, office, grounds, liturgical, etc.)
  • Sacramental record keeping
  • Bookkeeping to include payroll, bill paying, etc.
  • CORI processing, tracking of volunteers
  • Various other tasks as requested by co-workers, parishioners
  • Other duties as necessar

Qualifications

  • 2+ years general office administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software programs.
  • Experience with bookkeeping software preferably Sage Intacct.
  • Must be well organized, able to multitask, and effectively work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Understanding of various office machines.
  • Able to prioritize and work independently.
  • Experience handling confidential, sensitive, timely, and critical matters using good judgment, tact, respect, and discretion.
  • A strong service orientation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
