POSITION OVERVIEW
Provides secretarial and specialized office support functions for the Division of Criminal Investigation; Composes and types routine correspondence and responds to inquiries requiring general knowledge of program operations; types a variety of reports or other information from handwritten, hard copy pre-recorded or voice dictation, or computer-oriented medium. Provides information or assistance to the general public and Departmental personnel. Applies general knowledge of Departmental operations, rules, and regulation in explaining or clarifying rules, processes, procedures, or services available. Develops and maintains current/closed investigative case file archives. Answers correspondence from investigative agencies, state’s attorneys, etc., requiring knowledge of sensitive investigative material. Maintains updates and distributes district personnel roster. Prepares district informational bulletins and related publications.
