Description

Hollend Furnishings Ltd has been a core player in the Office furniture industry in the GTA since 1990. We pride ourselves on being a family run business with an excellent company culture. We collaborate with a wide variety of clients including School boards, corporations, colleges, and hospitals.
As a Quotation Specialist, you will play a critical role in meeting the external and internal demands of the office furniture industry. This will require you to take initiative, think creatively, communicate with high end clients, create custom furniture plans, and strategize outcomes. This is an exciting position that will have you working on a variety of large and small scale projects.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School degree or GED is required
  • University or College degree is preferred
  • The following Majors will be preferred: Accounting, Architecture, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Interior Design, Math.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive occasionally is required

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2-3 years of proven experience in an office setting is required.
  • Proven experience of analytical work with deadlines is required.
  • Previous experience in the office furniture industry is an asset.
  • Must have a history of work experience where verbal and written communication is essential

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, CAD, CET is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (excel, PowerPoint, word) is required.
  • Experience in QuickBooks is considered an asset.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Must have an eagerness to lean new skills and improve abilities
  • Willingness to make sales calls and site visits
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
    This position is an in-office role, Monday to Friday.
    Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm
    Salary: Commensurate on experience

Responsibilities
  • Prepare quotes, purchase orders, and identify fulfillment requirements
  • Prepare drawings and design specifications using CET/Project Matrix
  • Work in Excel and other quoting software programs
  • Organize and report product updates and pricing information
  • Review quotes and proof orders for accuracy
  • Manage parts and/or service inquiries and requests as they arise
  • Work with installation teams and provide drawings to coordinate projects for clients
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Follow up on customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Generate reports on sales activity and performance
