Job Description: As the Office Manager at Barkly Regional Arts, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of our organisation. You will oversee the administrative operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning while supporting the artistic and community-focused initiatives of our organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with other team members to uphold the mission and values of Barkly Regional Arts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in office management, administration, or related roles.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanour.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
  • Relevant qualifications in business administration, office management, or a related field are advantageous.
Responsibilities
  • Administrative Management: Manage all aspects of office administration including but not limited to correspondence, record-keeping, scheduling, and supply management.
  • Financial Administration: Assist in budget management, invoicing, payroll processing, and financial reporting in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Human Resources Support: Coordinate recruitment processes, maintain employee records, and facilitate HR-related communications.
  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and exhibitions by coordinating logistics, managing bookings, and liaising with vendors.
  • Communication and Correspondence: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, manage incoming and outgoing communications, and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Database and Information Management: Maintain accurate records in databases, manage filing systems, and ensure data integrity.
  • Office Maintenance: Oversee office facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe, organized, and conducive work environment.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and regulations, particularly in areas such as occupational health and safety.
  • Support for CEO: Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and assisting with special projects.
