POSITION SUMMARY

The Office Manager is a vital member of the Nipomo site leadership team, overseeing two HR/Payroll Coordinators. This role is responsible for managing Human Resources (80%), Payroll (15%), and Safety, accounting support, and other administrative functions (5%). The position requires hands-on involvement and a commitment to continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in office management, preferably in agriculture or manufacturing.
  • Strong HR and payroll knowledge; ADP experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the HR liaison for the site, including hiring and onboarding.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Coordinate and monitor employee training programs.
  • Administer Worker’s Compensation and safety protocols.
  • Manage H2A employee hiring and serve as HR contact for related matters.
  • Maintain and submit monthly pesticide reports.
  • Coordinate and prepare for agricultural inspections.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the General Manager.
  • Oversee monthly inventory processes.
  • Manage office supplies and vendor communications.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Support special projects and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
