You will manage the day-to-day operations of the school office, including administration, HR, finance, and procurement. Ensure effective communication with staff, parents, and external stakeholders. Oversee administrative systems, records management, and statutory returns. Handle budgeting, financial transactions, payroll reconciliation, and reporting. Support recruitment, monitor staff absence, and maintain compliance with HR policies. Coordinate procurement, supplier liaison, and resource management. Manage admissions, lettings, and provide administrative support to senior leadership to ensure efficient school operations. What You’ll Do Manage and maintain data systems to support service objectives. Oversee the smooth running of the office as a central point of contact. Lead and supervise staff, including workload allocation and performance management. Produce and analyse reports using databases and spreadsheets. Liaise confidently with internal and external partners to ensure smooth operations. An enhanced DBS check is required for this post. About You To apply for this post, you must respond to and evidence the following 7 essential criteria within your personal statement Level 2 in maths/numeracy and English/literacy, plus Level 3 in business and administration (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in a busy office environment, including accurate handling of financial procedures such as invoice processing, payroll reconciliation, and VAT claims. Understanding of confidentiality, Data Protection Act, school operational context, financial regulations, health and safety, and basic HR procedures. Excellent ICT skills with the ability to use a range of software effectively for data analysis and reporting. Ability to interpret complex data, make recommendations, and resolve challenging issues appropriately. Strong written and oral communication, ability to relate well to children and adults, and operate effectively with minimal supervision. Capable of directing staff, reviewing and improving practices, managing workload under pressure, and demonstrating reliability through consistent attendance. Why Join Us?
